Pain
Turn the volume down.
Dry needling, manual therapy and cupping give a guarded nervous system a reason to stand down, which is what makes the rest of the work possible.
What We Treat
You have been told to rest, to stretch, to live with it. Pain that has lasted this long has a reason, and finding it is the whole job.

Why It Happens
Pain that sticks around usually has two things running at once. There is still something mechanical: a joint that quit moving, tissue that healed short, a muscle that never got strong again after the original injury. And there is a nervous system that has had months or years of practice sounding the alarm, so it fires earlier and louder than the tissue itself warrants.
That is why one thing on its own rarely holds. Stretching does not rebuild a weak link. A pill does not retrain an alarm. So we watch how you actually move, find the parts still feeding the signal, and work both ends: settle the alarm while we rebuild the base underneath it. When the pain is this old, that is what getting to the root of it means.
The Honest Truth
Nobody regrets starting too early.
How We Fix It
You have already tried the things that were supposed to work. Here is what the four phases look like when the pain is old, one-on-one with a licensed physical therapist, every visit.

Pain
Dry needling, manual therapy and cupping give a guarded nervous system a reason to stand down, which is what makes the rest of the work possible.
Once the pain settles
Prime
Instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization and hands-on joint work restore motion you have been missing so long you quit noticing it was gone.
Once it moves freely again
Perform
Strength work starts lighter than you expect and climbs in steps you can feel, with blood flow restriction training when heavy loading is not an option yet.
Before you are cleared
Prevent
You leave knowing your own early warning signs and exactly what to do about them, with training you can keep doing. That is the endpoint, not another appointment.
I was doing my regular appointment to get my shoulder repair therapy and about 20 minutes in Jordan untied or untangled something that had caused pain and problems breathing for the last 30 years or so… I have probably spent 80 to 100 thousand and 30 years of pain and difficulty breathing until today. Thank You!! I honestly can’t give a better explanation of how much better I feel!!

Questions, Answered
Another scan is rarely what unsticks this. Imaging of people with no pain at all routinely shows bulges and wear and tear, so a picture does not always name the cause, and after this long it tends to add more findings rather than more clarity. We start hands-on instead: how you move, what reproduces the pain, what has quietly stopped working. If imaging is genuinely needed, we will help you get it. And Texas has direct access, so no physician referral is required to see a physical therapist. There is nothing to schedule before this.
That is a fair fear, and it usually comes from being handed too much too early. With pain this old we start under what you can tolerate, not over it, and build from there. Flaring you up teaches your body the wrong lesson and costs us a week. You work one-on-one with a licensed physical therapist, every visit, so somebody is watching how you respond and changing the dose in the room, not at your next appointment. Hurt does not always mean harm, and we will show you where your line actually is.
Longstanding pain is not a quick fix and we will not pretend otherwise. You get the honest answer at the end of your evaluation, once we know what is driving it. What is not open-ended is the plan. The four phases, Pain, Prime, Perform and Prevent, each have a job and a way to know you have earned the next one, so you always know where you are and what is left. If cost is the real question, start with the free benefits check. We are in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, 90 Degree Benefit, UMR and Curative, and we also see out-of-network and self-pay patients.
