Manual therapy in Midland.

Skilled hands find what an exercise sheet cannot. We free the joint or the tissue that is actually limiting you, then load it so the change holds.

Hands-on Joint mobility Soft tissue Talk to a Specialist

What It Is

Hands first. Then load.

Range you thought was gone often shows up in the same visit. You feel the difference getting up off the table, not three weeks from now.

Skilled hands can tell a stiff joint from a guarded muscle from a layer of tissue that has stopped sliding. That is the part an exercise sheet cannot sort out for you. So your therapist works the exact structure that is limiting you: joint mobilization, soft tissue work, or both, based on what the exam turned up.

Then we put a load through the new range before you leave, because motion you do not use is motion you give back. Manual therapy lives at the Pain and Prime end of your plan. Perform and Prevent are what make it hold.

What It Helps

Where hands do the finding.

You have been managing around this quietly for a while, because other people needed you upright. Keep managing and the workaround stops being a workaround. It becomes how you move.

Questions, Answered

Manual therapy, no mystery.

No. A rub-down feels good while it lasts. This is aimed at one structure your exam identified as the limiter, a stiff joint or a guarded muscle or tissue that has stopped sliding, and it is followed by loading that new range so your body keeps it. The hands-on part opens the door. The plan is what walks you through it.

You set the ceiling, and yes, stop means stop. We work at a pressure you can breathe through and we tell you what we are doing while we do it. Sore areas can feel tender under the hands and a little worked afterward, which is normal and short lived. Nothing here is a test of how much you can take.

No referral needed. Texas has direct access, so you can be evaluated here without a doctor sending you over. Manual therapy is part of your physical therapy plan, and we are in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, 90 Degree Benefit, UMR and Curative, with out-of-network and self-pay both welcome. A free benefits check gets you your numbers up front, and your plan comes with an endpoint, so the visit count is not open ended. Call (432) 262-1001 and ask.
